Happy, Sad, Tired??? by Annemarie

I think that Burke’s little body is still figuring out what to do with the vaccine that he got yesterday because today was all sorts of weird for him.  He was in and out of sleep this morning, and didn’t want to eat again after he woke up, so we stayed in bed until about 1030 or so.  I got to eat some breakfast with him strapped to me….he’s also been more fussy the last few days when we put set him down, and I can’t seem to figure out why.

Then, he chilled in his swing for a bit, but he was all sorts of emotions.

Mostly he was happy, but he would go back and forth from a happy squeal to an upset one in 2.5 nanoseconds, so I figured that maybe he was tired….even though he’d just really woken up a bit ago.

So, we went upstairs and around 1145, he fell asleep.  Hard.

Right after he fell asleep, Dayna and Hadley came by to say hi.  It’s funny because so many times that they come, I have to tell Hadley that Burke is sleeping.  It’s pretty amusing.  But, we went up to see him, and even though the 3 of us girls were having quite a bit of fun with some of Burke’s toys, books, and one of Brett’s baseball caps, Burke slept through all of our noise.

After they left, I decided to lay down with him.  Well, he opened his eyes a few times, but slept right through to 150pm.  I had my alarm set because I was going to pick up friends at the airport.  I couldn’t believe that he stayed sleeping that long in the middle of the afternoon.

I got back around 3, and got to making dinner.  Burke was up, but was starting the same squealing routine around 530, so we swaddled him up, and literally like 60 seconds later….he was out again.

Nile and Caitlin joined us for dinner, and since I was starving, I had it all ready to go right when they walked in.  We enjoyed taco soup and cornbread muffins.  It was really tasty, and Burke was sound asleep right behind us the entire meal.  When we retired to the couch about 715 is when he finally woke up.  Another long snooze.  He ate and got all dressed for bed and came back down to hang out with his friends.

Caitlin and Nile couldn’t get over how much he’d grown since the last time they saw him.  They loved playing with him, and Burke loved their attention too!

We taught them Hand & Foot, and can you believe that Nile beat Brett by 10 points?  Talk about a close game.  We had a great time hanging out and getting caught up with them tonight!

And….now since my sister got her birthday present in the mail this afternoon, I can post about one of the cute little projects that I did a week or so ago.  I saw a tutorial on how to make mini Polaroid magnets back a few months ago and knew that I wanted to make them.  I decided that I’d make Erika some for her birthday and made myself some at the same time.

So, this is our refrigerator right now. I never used to have things on the front, just the side, but I kind of like it being so colorful and with lots of pictures.  I need to print some other ones because I definitely don’t have everyone that we love represented yet, but you can see the tiny magnets on there.

A few closeups.

I thought I’d get back to doing some more of my project that I have to complete in the next few days, but I’m going to go to bed instead. Burke crashed out late tonight, probably from all the sleeping today, so we’re going to be up a few times tonight I bet.

My parents are going to be here tomorrow for a few days too, so I gotta get some things taken care of (like cleaning up the house) before they arrive. Night night!

Strawberries, blueberries, mangoes – really any fruit works jointly with
it. In a time when sticking to weight loss campaigns and slimming
exercises is becoming increasingly difficult, these natural slimming pills
like the Forza T5 fat burners can help you lose weight without having to compromise on time or money at all.
The slips are made too small, and shoving the nun-chuck into the small slip is awkward.
